“I selected JSB Lighting because of their professional approach and proposal, technical knowledge, and ability to customize the lighting layout to our manufacturing environment. The payback period based on electricity savings alone is expected to be about 2 years after the IESO rebate.

“John, Sandy and their technical team worked with us to reduce installation costs by reusing and/or rewiring existing fixtures that were already vapour-tight. They took the time to involve management, workers, and our electrical contractor to optimize project outcomes. The products offered had warranties up to 10 years and were easier to install than 4 ft fluorescent fixtures. They were also very helpful in processing our rebate documentation.

“The lighting was installed during the evenings, when we had fewer employees working. Higher levels of lighting were installed in product inspection areas. Overall, the interior lighting levels have improved, particularly in between machines. The exterior lighting has been very effective at improving a feeling of safety when leaving work at night.

“I like the fact that the designed lighting levels were achieved once installed. The overall reaction by our employees has been very positive.”
